Claudia's Story
Until 2003, I was unfit and made poor diet choices. I weighed 210 pounds at a height of 5'5". With my husband's help and motivation, we both decided to change our diet and exercise habits. The changes resulted in a total of 80 pounds shed by each of us! In 2012 I added heavy strength training to my exercise program with the help of a personal trainer and am now a competitive bodybuilder (women's physique) and powerlifter. I also compete in OCR races, sprint triathlons, and half marathons.
I believe the body is a reflection of the soul, so I also focus on behavior modifications related to diet and exercise habits to ensure adherence to increase muscle mass to help build strong, functional bodies.
Away from the gym I enjoy being a mom to my daughter Carly and son Randall and I am very proud of my husband Brian, as he is Chair of the Music Department and Director of Bands at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
